Programs at the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center

Ryan Wuerch is an accomplished entrepreneur who has led Dosh in Austin, Texas, as CEO since developing the cash back app in 2016. When he is not providing Dosh with immediate and long-term strategies, Ryan Wuerch spends time contributing to a number of philanthropic organizations and community groups, such as the Michael Lisnow Respite Center outside Boston.

Located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center serves hundreds of families and children living with disabilities. The Center maintains a number of programs designed to support these families, notably the Weekend Respite program. Children in the Weekend Respite program often have significant and complex medical needs that typically prevent family members from spending time away from their home. Through the program, families are afforded one weekend per month during which time they can relax, plan to dine out, or see a movie.

Meanwhile, the Monday and Tuesday Overnights program is a weekly service directed towards families with the highest degree of need, including single-parent households or families led by elderly adults. Working parents can also take advantage of the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center’s After School Care program. Additional programs include ongoing Respite Care for Children, the Adult Day program, and Employment Support for Individuals with Disabilities.
